How do I use my time wisely?
Sometimes it can feel like a day has gone by in vain, even though you worked hard and ended up doing nothing. The reasons may be different: you were often distracted by other tasks, calls, notifications in the mail, answering questions from colleagues and could not focus on the work, confused in the chaos of cases. Proper time management can help you cope more effectively with more tasks and reduce stress and irritability. We have prepared useful tips from our free online course "Time Management" by paper writing service, which contains effective tools for proper allocation of time, effort, and energy.
- Start writing out all of the day's work tasks, and small daily activities right down to your lunch break and leisure time activities. Train yourself to monitor your time daily and analyze your daily routine.
- Record the actual time you spent on tasks. Compare that time with the time you planned to spend on that task. Draw conclusions and plan the next day/week based on the new data.
- Control not only your working time, but also your bad habits. Keep track of how much time you spend on social networks, watching funny videos and TV shows.
- Divide the day into blocks, with a gap of 1-2 hours. This way, you will clearly see the order of your day.
- Try to give up things that distract you. Or set aside a certain amount of time for them. For example, check your mail once a day for 30 minutes instead of being distracted by it regularly throughout the day.
- Turn off all notifications when you're busy with an urgent task. You'll be able to focus entirely on the task at hand, and the calls and alerts won't distract and annoy you unnecessarily.
- Prioritize your tasks, do the most difficult ones first, then all the rest.
- Plan tasks for the day, week, and month. Scheduling things this way will allow you to look at the entire work process from the outside. And you can optimize your work and devote time to important issues.
- Be sure to take rest breaks. This will help you recover and continue to work at an accelerated pace. It is advisable to rest for 10 minutes after each hour of work.
- Do not be afraid to switch between tasks. If you can not get down to a difficult task, do not waste time on rocking, start doing another task.
- To speed up the negotiation process, start by discussing a meeting plan and a list of tasks.
- Keep a clear allotted time for the meeting, even if you can't resolve an urgent issue. Feel free to reschedule that conversation for another day.
- Don't skimp on time to plan things. Every 10 minutes spent on making tasks will save you a significant portion of your work day.
